34 Unique Gifts For The Traveler

Whether it’s Christmas, Valentines, or a birthday, I am rarely happier than when I am able to find the perfect gift for someone. I love the process of thinking about what my loved ones will enjoy and I often buy presents months before a holiday because I come across something I know the recipient will love.

Most of my family and friends travel for work or fun – or both. I’ve written about how to pack the perfect carry on bag, but if you love to travel or have a globetrotter in your life, I’ve pulled together 34 unique ideas at many different price points. And the best part is – all of these gifts can be found on Amazon.com.

Happy shopping!

Scratch-Off World Map

A scratch-off travel map will let her scratch off a new place every time she travels. These maps have become popular of late and I think it’s a fun gift for explorers of every age. (I mean, it is satisfying to scratch of that metallic coating, isn’t it?) The travel map is easily frameable and comes in a number of different sizes and colors.

Phone Charging Passport Case

Equipped with RFID blocking, this phone charging passport case has enough room for credit cards, your passport, money, and her phone while it’s charging on the built-in power bank. I love the idea of having everything in one place.

The Perfect Travel Backpack

Rebecca Minkoff’s popular Julian Backpack makes a fantastic travel bag. It’s perfect for wandering around a new city or using on a flight. But it’s also great for running errands, going to kids’ sporting events, and other everyday uses. I have one and I use it all the time!

Help Her To Never Lose Anything Again

If you aren’t familiar with the Tile, it’s an ingenious product you can stick to about anything and then locate with your cell phone. Perfect for the teen who is constantly losing her keys, or to attach to luggage or a backpack. It’s a great gift to make sure your traveler doesn’t lose anything every again.

For The Wine Lover

These stainless steel wine tumblers are perfect for bringing on a hike or a picnic, or for hanging out in the backyard. And if you’re planning to bring home bottles of wine from your trip, check out these wine protector travel bags. They’ll keep your wine (or olive oil, or whatever else is in a bottle) safe in your checked bags or luggage in the trunk.

Get Them Inspired

How about some travel books to inspire her to plan a new trip?

  .

For The Reader

If your traveler likes to read when she’s on the road, there are a lot of e-reader options out there. Kindle alone offers a lot of options from the Paperwhite the smaller Oasis, or the Fire Tablet if she’s doing more than reading. [My personal preference is to have an e-reader that is just for reading and doesn’t have glare when outside, so I prefer the Kindle devices over a tablet.]

For The Coffee Lover

For the coffee lover, a french press portable coffee mug. This is perfect for those long trips when she doesn’t know what kind of coffee will be waiting at her destination.

To Keep Her Comfortable

This versatile HappyLuxe Wayfarer Wrap can be worn as a scarf, a wrap, a pashmina, or used as a blanket. The material is super soft and breathable and it’s machine washable. It’s perfect to keep her cozy on any long journey.

This globe-themed cotton robe and matching pajama bottoms will inspire her with new travels every time she looks down.

For The Family Photographer

For the traveler who’s obsessed with photography, she’ll have fun learning to take near-professional level photos with the Canon EOS Rebel T6. If you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, she might enjoy experimenting with a lens kit for their smartphone.

For The Music Lover

This Beats portable speaker is perfect whether she wants to jam out in her hotel room or out by the pool. It’s got an amazing, crisp sound and lasts for around 12 hours.

For The Organized Packer

Shoe bags (in lots of fun patterns) will keep muddy shoes from contaminating the rest of her clothes.

Dopp kits will hold all the toiletries your man needs on a trip. And for her, a hanging toiletry bag in lots of fun patterns.

These compression packing cubes will make sure your traveler can get as much as she can in her luggage and put a smile on her face when she opens up her bag to the fun patterns.

A Portable luggage scale if she’s a heavy packer worried about whether she might have to pay an oversized bag fee at the airport. This comes in handier than you might think.

For the gal or guy who loves their electric toothbrush, send them packing with a travel version in a fun design.

A luggage set is always a great gift. Samsonite is always a good bet for a sturdy bag, although there are lots of cheaper (and a number of more expensive) options.

Rimowa luggage is more expensive, but it’s some of the best. It is made with the highest quality materials and is recognized the world over for its tough, hard-shelled luggage.

A spandex luggage cover to keep her bags from getting dinged or scratched.

If your traveler wants to keep her valuables secure at all times, this is a neat portable safe that she can bring with her anywhere.

And how about using a fun luggage tag as a gift tag when you wrap your great travel gift? Either with her initial or just something loud so she can always find her bag. If she loves Disney, Minnie is always fun. And who doesn’t love a unicorn? Or some matching tags for your newlywed friends?

Travel Water Bottles

Whether its a water bottle that folds down, or one that can roll up, a collapsible water bottle is great to bring on any trip. And will help her save money by using airport water fountains instead of buying overpriced bottles of water at the airport.

For The Traveler Who Needs Some Peace and Quiet

Whether she wants to drown out the plane engine or her seatmate, noise canceling headphones are a great gift for the traveler who just wants a little quiet on her trip.

The Bucky. I believe this is the best sleeping mask around if she wants to block out the light and get some shuteye on her flight. (The Bucky is available in many, non-floral patterns, as well)

A Couple of Practical Gifts

These cheery microfiber towels don’t take up much room, but dry super quickly and are perfect for travel – and the gym.

Compression socks aren’t super sexy, but they do help to promote blood circulation and oxygen flow and prevent cramping on long flights. You could get her a fun, hot-pink pair, or go with a traditional black or grey.

And A Totally Non-Practical Gift

It may not be the most practical thing to bring on vacation, but who doesn’t love to relax in a hammock? This one has the Texas state flag on it, but there are tons of options out there if she’s not interested in flashing her state pride.

For The Gal Who Deserves Only The Best While On The Road

A Kiehl’s travel bag containing all that you’d need on a long flight. (Here’s a tip to save some money: This kit comes with its own little bag and Kiehl’s products. If you wanted to assemble something like this for less, you could easily look for a reasonably priced makeup bag and pack it with various travel lotions, lip balm, etc.)

A fancy travel essentials bag filled with Oribe hair products. Only the best!

She’ll jet set in luxury with this 100% cashmere travel set, which includes socks and eye mask and a blanket. It’s a high price tag, but hey – she’s worth it!

I hope I’ve given you some ideas for your favorite traveler (or yourself!). Happy shopping!!

xo,

Cameron
